Join United Way of Metro Chicago for the April Food Day - Food Collection on April 27, 2023, as we come together to promote food security in the south-southwest suburbs, a region facing high levels of poverty and systemic education, health, and wealth inequities.
Meeting the basic needs of our neighbors, like food security, is a key part of United Way’s approach to building a stronger, more equitable Chicago region. April Food Day is United Way’s annual food collection event and awards luncheon that addresses this need. Help nourish our neighbors in the south-southwest suburban region and support the event by donating food and goods, collecting items through your own food drive, becoming an event sponsor, making a financial gift, or volunteering at April Food Day.

What Can I Donate?
—Unopened, non-expired items; no glass please—
• 100% Fruit and Vegetable Juice
• Bagged Rice and Beans (canned and dry)
• Canned Fruits and Vegetables (pull tops if possible)
• Cereal, Oatmeal, Granola Bars
• Chips, Cookies, and/or Crackers
• Canned Meats and Stews
• Peanut Butter and Jelly
• Infant Supplies (baby food, formula, diapers)
• Laundry Detergent
• Toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, menstrual products)

Donation Drop-off Locations
Donations of non-perishable food and other goods can be dropped off on April Food Day, April 27 from 10am–2pm at the Tinley Park Convention Center, 18451 Convention Center Dr., Tinley Park, or in advance at a participating drop-off location.

Invite colleagues, family, friends, and your networks to participate in a food drive for April Food Day 2023! Host your own food drive and then drop off donations either on April Food Day, April 27 from 10am–2pm at the Tinley Park Convention Center, 18451 Convention Center Dr., Tinley Park, or in advance at a participating drop-off location.
