United Way of Metro Chicago’s 2020 Stronger Neighborhoods Awards Luncheon celebrates the power and resolve of greater Chicago to build a stronger, more vibrant region.
Each year United Way presents a Corporate, Community and Individual Leadership Award to honorees who exemplify what it means to LIVE UNITED. This year, we are proud to announce the Andrew J. McKenna Leadership Award. Named after Mr. McKenna, a life-long Chicagoan whose three decades of service to United Way has set the bar for leadership, advocacy and philanthropy, this year’s inaugural award will be presented to John W. Madigan. A Chicagoan who has encouraged others to step forward as civic leaders and philanthropists, Mr. Madigan has improved the quality of life for countless individuals and families in the Chicago region.
In addition to the inaugural Andrew J. McKenna Leadership Award, we will also present the Corporate Leadership Award to Harris Associates, feature a townhall conversation with Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot, and present the City of Chicago's Invest South/West initiative with the Community Leadership Award in recognition of the efforts to advance Chicago neighborhood revitalization.
Please join us at one of Chicago’s premiere luncheons, recognizing philanthropic leaders from across the region.
