In celebration of Women’s History Month, United Way of Metro Chicago’s Women United chapter invites you to Purposeful Transitions: Harnessing Your Power for Social Change. The breakfast networking event will feature keynote speaker Angela F. Williams, the first Black,woman CEO of United Way Worldwide, who will discuss her remarkable career journey and what continues to drive her passion for advancing social equity in community. The program will conclude with a breakout session in which attendees will develop a plan for supporting community impact.

This Martin Luther King Jr. Day, you’re invited to an exclusive conversation about the civil rights movement in Chicago, as told by the Urban Historian and TikTok sensation Shermann “Dilla” Thomas. Dilla will reflect on Dr. King’s 1966 campaign to secure open and affordable housing and how that movement shaped the Chicago we know today.
