Thank you to everyone who supported and joined us for April Food Day 2022!
April Food Day is United Way of Metro Chicago’s annual food collection event and awards luncheon that addresses food insecurity in the south-southwest suburbs, a region facing high levels of poverty and systemic education, health, and wealth inequities that were amplified by COVID-19.
Together, we collected 76,000 pounds of food and raised over $60,000 to meet basic needs and address food insecurity in the south-southwest region.
