Thank You

Thank you to everyone who supported and joined us for April Food Day 2024! We came together to promote food security and recognize our community leaders advancing equity in the south-southwest suburbs, a region facing high levels of poverty and systemic education, health, and wealth inequities. Meeting the basic needs of our neighbors, like food security, is a key part of United Way's approach to building a stronger, more equitable Chicago region. April Food Day is United Way's annual food collection event and awards luncheon that addresses this need.

160+ VOLUNTEERS assisted with collecting and sorting donated food and home products.
380+ GUESTS attended the Awards Luncheon - recognizing our individual, business, and community leader honorees.
100,000+ POUNDS OF FOOD was collected and distributed to 10 Southland food pantries.

Check back soon for a recap video.
