United Way of Metro Chicago’s 2021 Stronger Neighborhoods Awards celebrates the commitment of business, civic, nonprofit and community leaders to build back stronger neighborhoods and a stronger, more equitable Chicago region. Each year United Way recognizes honorees who exemplify what it means to LIVE UNITED.

The Leadership Award recognizes a Chicagoan who has exhibited long-standing corporate and civic leadership, and a commitment to United Way’s vision to build stronger neighborhoods. The Corporate Leadership Award is presented in recognition of an organization’s steadfast partnership with United Way and dedication to empowering individuals and communities.

We are proud to announce that this year we will present the inaugural Andrew J. McKenna Leadership Award to John W. Madigan, an individual whose selfless actions have encouraged others to step forward as civic leaders and philanthropists, improving the quality of life for countless individuals and families in the Chicago region.

The Corporate Leadership Award will be presented to Harris Associates for the firm’s longstanding commitment to United Way.

Please join us on May 25 as we celebrate our prestigious honorees and support United Way’s work to build back a stronger Chicago region.
