We regret that this Friday's Women United breakfast networking event, Purposeful Transitions – Leveraging Personal Growth for Community Impact, will be postponed and rescheduled at a later date. United Way of Metro Chicago is taking the precaution to postpone this Friday's event given the increased attention on COVID-19, and the uptick in confirmed cases across the country and in the Chicago region over the past few days. United Way continues to leverage important guidance from relevant government bodies and other organizations, including the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization, and the Chicago Department of Public Health with the objective of establishing protocols and processes to best protect the safety and well-being of our colleagues and the community.

While we are disappointed, our priority is the safety of those who attend our events.

The breakfast event featuring Dorri McWhorter, CEO of the YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago, and Neighborhood Network community leaders has proven to be very popular based on the number of people who registered to date. We are committed to rescheduling this impactful event, and we will be in touch with additional information in the future.

Please email Brian.Cataldo@LIVEUNITEDchicago.org with questions.
