1 in 3 households across the Chicago region were already struggling to make ends meet before recent challenges. Affording basic needs such as food, housing, and health care is even harder amid rising costs, policy changes impacting SNAP and other programs, unemployment, community trauma and fear, and many other factors.
This holiday season, United Way and our community partners are working together to help individuals and families meet their basic needs—and reclaim holiday joy. You can help. Your gift makes a difference!
— A gift of $25 can provide a holiday meal for a family of four.
— A gift of $100 can provide three nights of shelter for a child and their family.
— A gift of $200 can provide a primary care doctor’s visit to support health and well-being.
