April Food Day is United Way of Metro Chicago’s annual food drive and awards luncheon that addresses food insecurity in the south-southwest suburbs, a region facing high levels of poverty and systemic education, health and wealth inequities that were amplified by COVID-19. You can support April Food Day by hosting a donation drive, volunteering or becoming a sponsor.
Join United Way of Metro Chicago for an Annual Day of Service and Reflection on September 11 to honor those who lost their lives and the first responders who risked their well-being to help others. We will identify the community project prior to the event date. Check out our previous 9/11 service events and register for upcoming events on our 9/11 Day of Service event page.
Celebrate the spirit of the season by helping our neighbors meet their immediate basic needs and brighten their holidays, while coming together to build a stronger Chicago region. You can make a difference this holiday season by supporting individuals and families across the region. Together, we will provide holiday meals, winter essentials, and cheer for 500 households through our holiday distribution events.
