Elected officials, funders, and community partners joined United Way of Metro Chicago for the grand opening of the new 2-1-1 contact center at Xchange Chicago in Grand Crossing. The move underscores United Way’s commitment to investing in historically disinvested communities – and helping our neighbors meet their immediate basic needs.
211 Metro Chicago marked its second anniversary on National 211 Day, bringing together the partners who made it possible – including Cook County and the City of Chicago.
The “Summit Soars!” event celebrated the launch of the Summit Neighborhood Network – United Way of Metro Chicago’s 18th Neighborhood Network. In partnership with Cook County’s Transforming Places program, the investment will support community-led programs and opportunities in the family-oriented suburb.
The expansion of the Neighborhood Networks represents our commitment to the south suburbs of Chicago – and furthers the impactful work driven by local nonprofits in the community. It’s also a testament to the power of partnerships – and what we can accomplish when we come together across different sectors.
