Deepening Our Impact in the Suburbs

For more than a decade, United Way of Metro Chicago has been working alongside community partners through place-based, resident-led transformation. In 2023, we deepened this commitment in the suburbs through the launch of four new Neighborhood Networks: Elgin, Ford Heights/Chicago Heights, Harvey, and Park Forest/Richton Park.

Thank you to our 2022/2023 Campaign Chair, Wendell Dallas!

Wendell Dallas, president and CEO of Nicor Gas, led our 2022/2023 Campaign season to success. $45.2 million was raised to support our work alongside community partners, building neighborhoods where all people can thrive. “It has been one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had as a leader.”

Introducing Our 2022/2023 Campaign Cabinet

As we kicked off the 2022/2023 Campaign season in July, we are grateful for our partners who are keeping our legacy of employee giving alive. We connected with a few of our Campaign Cabinet members who shared their stories, what motivates them to volunteer and give through United Way, and their hopes for the 2022/2023 Campaign year.
