Morningstar has called Chicago home for more than 40 years. This commitment reflects how the company thinks: long term. It’s an investment in the city’s future, in the people who live here, and in the strength of the communities that power it.
Morningstar’s community giving and impact strategy focuses on harnessing the power of information to break down barriers to investing and expand financial opportunity. The strategy has two key focus areas:
Securing financial futures
Supporting efforts that help people build financial stability over time, through access to financial education, savings, and long-term planning.
Creating pathways to careers
Supporting programs that connect people to careers in financial services, technology, and related fields.
United Way will help identify nonprofit organizations aligned with Morningstar's focus areas and support the grantmaking process, expected to begin in 2027. As a long-time partner to nonprofit leaders across the city, we look forward to helping Morningstar scale its community investment strategies.
